Question Distribution for general purpose security

Hi

I'm looking for a good distribution for a somewhat beginner.
The main requirements is to have a distribution to learn more about Linux in general, and security technology in special. Special purpose distros such as Backtrack 2 is not an option, since the machine also will be used as my main machine.

I'm experienced in computers, but most of all my competence is now on the Microsoft platform (servers, Exchange and A.D), but need to learn Linux, very well.

I would highly appreciate recomandations for a good distro.

/A.

Just grab one of the more popular distros - Fedora, Ubuntu, Suse, etc. The great thing about Linux is that the same tools work on all distros and once you understand one, you can pretty much switch with few problems.

This is the distro I use and recommend, Why because it works right out of the box. No need to configure Everything, everything just works. It also comes as a 1 CD install that is a live CD that you can install later if you wish.
