debian hangs
 

hello

i just installed debian woody on a machine, but i have a problem i have never seen before...

the whole computer crashes regularly after a few minutes of operation.

not just the network connection (i had such a problem too) but the whole PC. the screen stays black(after entering the power-save-mod) and there is no reaction, even when i press some button on the keyboard (that used to solve such dieing problems).
can thbe because of a buggy implementation of the pcs power-save-mode in the bios?
