Could this be done with a machine like this?

Hi there,

I'm connected to the internet via Wireless and through a ISA proxy server, also my computer (with Win XP and Fedora) use HTTP-Tunnel (http://www.http-tunnel.com/html/solu...nel/client.asp), a software that letme use in windows a lot of things that the proxy blocks (MSN, eMule, bittorrent, etc).

My brother gave me an old WAVE Speedlan Wireless Router, he taked out the WAVE stuff and now it is an old x86 machine, specs:

300 Mhz Geode CPU
32 MB RAM
1.2 GB HDD
Orinoco Wireless PCMCIA card.

Now, I want to know if there is any linux distro that letme do the next things in that hardware:

- Be the Internet Gateway of my network.
- Run Wine so I can use Http-Tunnel in it (I'm testing that now with fedora in my pc).
- Run a NAT software (if something don't use http-tunnel, pass directly)
- Run a Firewall

- Be graphical (optional)

It is almost working in Win 98 (without the firewall), but I just can't live with Win 98.

I will appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks for reading and sorry for my bad engish.

i'd build a debian sys from scratch (not the lfs necessarily).

or look at distrowatch.com for one that is a minimal install and requires very little memory.

you might be able to increase your memory a little-- i don't know.

plus if you can set your hd memory (swap) high, you might be able to use a distro that has a higher than 32mb requirement.

definitely don't look for a gui (graphics)

You don't need to run HTTP-Tunnel under Wine, a native version of HTTP-Tunnel exists for Linux.
