Converting distro (Mandrake10.1->Debian)
Is it possible to keep f.ex. your KDE settings when you're converting from Mandrake to Debian?

yes, you may have some trouble if your kde is a different version, but i didnt have any issues.
keep a copy of yout /home/user/.kde or .kde3
move it into your new home dir when deb is installed.

Tnx, I'll try that as soon as I get the Debian installationprogram working... When I start the installer, my LCD shows "Out of range" :S
Annoying...
The VGA16,frambuffer off option didn't work either.
I'll post a thread on that in the Debian forum though.
