Maybe you have a repository on the CD and no CD/DVD inserted?

There a lot of possibilities , you're firewall setting are incorrect , the urls are incorrect , the server is temporary down

Yes a lot of possibilities - so try accessing the repository directly via http or ftp. This will let you understand whether the problem is yast-only or for the whole system, or maybe it's the specific repository fault, in which case you'd better delete it.

sigh...desnt work

these are the repositories which are there (and they are accessible with http, i tried)

http://download.opensuse.org/update/11.1/
cd:///?devices=/dev/sr0 (this one works ofcourse!)
http://download.opensuse.org/debug/d.../11.1/repo/oss

and there are three more, from opensuse.org. i dont have the packman and the rest added yet, cz the basic ones are still not connecting.

and like i said, all of them are accesible through http, which confirms my claim that there is no problem with the internet....

thanks for taking out the time to reply, guys

[|] Error trying to read from http://download.opensuse.org:80/update/11.1//
History:
-Download(curl) error for 'http://download.opensuse.org:80/update/11.1//content':
Error code:
Error message: couldn't connect to host

try again?
