I just downloaded an ISO image of college linux 2.3 which i burnt with NERO. I have used MD5Sum checker to be sure I got the files complete, but the problem is : The CD would not boot the PC. I have three directories on the CD viz isolinux, college and kernel. Please, is there any one that can assist me by telling me what to do in order to boot the PC with the COLLEGE LINUX CD ROM.
We need more information.
Is the "boot to CD" option enabled in your BIOS? Are you able to boot to CD with any other CD? What error message do you get? Can you boot to that CD with any other machine?
The Boot to Cd option is enabled in my BIOS. Yes, I was able to boot to CD with KNOPPIX CD, I even tried the CD(College LINUX) Cd on two different machines and still I cant boot to CD on those machines.
I burnt the CD as image, I did verified the iso before burning and I have redownloaded the iso image again. The CD contains three directory: ISOLINUX-boot,initrd.img,isolinux,isolinux.cfg,logo.16
COLLEGE: and KERNEL. Those are the directories in the CD after burning the image.
