can I install Konqueror without installing KDE?

In trying out Damn Small Linux, I like Fluxbox well enough, but I'm befuddled by DSL's file manager, and would rather have Konqueror. Do I have to have KDE to use Konqueror?:(

You need to have KDE installed, but you don't need to actually use KDE to run it's principle applications. If you are using FluxBox, all the required KDE libraries will load up when you execute a program that relies on them.

It does mean that it will take awhile for KDE programs to load though, and will obviously bloat things up a bit in terms of resource use.

FluxBox is good. I kind of like accessing the applications instead of the desktop configuration by right-clicking on the desktop.

Konqueror-like apps for Fluxbox?

Is there a Fluxbox file manager out there that acts like Konqueror?

[Moderators, I request that this post start a new thread, unless inappropriate.]

No, there isn't... Fluxbox is just a Window Manager, in difference to KDE and GNOME which are Desktop Environments...

I use Worker, you could try it. It's not fancy, but does the job with the minimum keystrokes.
