Re: can i get Mandrake to start in console?

1) go to drakeconf (MDK 8.2)
2) click the section booting ....I believe
At the bottom of the setup page you find a box which enables (disables)
log in automatically into X-Desktop.(KDE or GNOME)
3) Disable this box
4) In case you are in rhe X-dsektop and you really want to go on the console:

PRESS: STRNG,ALT ans F!. and a new console opens for login:
