This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

I have one question. I want a distribution for firewall, with dhcp server, traffic shaping, etc, just like pfSense. It has all the things I want from "firewall" point of view, but on the other hand I want a distribution with Apache server, MySQL, etc, and these aren't installed in pfSense and I can't install them. For "application" point of view I liked OpenSUSE.
Can you tell me a distribution that can satisfy my needs?
Any linux distro should be able to fulfil your needs however these are really 2 different server roles - firewall and app server, are you sure you want to combine them ?
Plus, if you use the traffic shaping in pfSense, you may be hard pressed to replicate it easily with another distro
Yes, I know these roles shouldn't be combined, but I don't have an extra server to make one firewall and one application server. All I want is an application server, with some firewall functions, such as traffic shaping. I tried installing HTB on OpenSUSE but it didn't worked.
