Best EASY distro for dell laptop

note to mods: this may be in the wrong place, please move it if it is!

What distro would you suggest for the following system - ive used mainly suse, and would prefer an easy distro to use, and it needs to have read/write access to NTFS...

Its a dell inspiron 1300, cel-m 1.4 ghz, 512mb ram, 40 gb hdd (i plan on giving linux 7 GB of this), in built wifi and a 1280x 800 screen res.

Cheers

Try mandriva 2006 and suse 10.0, both of which are freely downloadable. No major linux distro has write support for ntfs; all but RH/fedora have read support for ntfs out of the box. There's a program you can add on later called captive ntfs which gives write support for some versions of ntfs if you have legal access to certain windows dlls. There are also commercail(i.e. not free as in $$) apps that will give you this capability.
