Talking berry 0.96 install?and with dual boot in mind


I want to install Berry 0.96 and cannot get past the enter root password. How do I actually install it?
I have Linux Mint 6 already on my machine and wanted to dual boot with Berry. I'm still a newb at all this after a year and a half, so don't laugh
