Basic Fluxbox questions

Hi everyone.

i'm startnig to explore Fluxbox, and I'm liking what I see so far. I have a few questions, however:

1.) Most importantly, I'm looking for a distro that is DEDICATED to Fluxbox, with all the neat Fluxbox addons installed. Although I'd like to use KDE and GTK apps through Fluxbox, I don't want all of those libraries installed. Better yet, I don't want KDE or GNOME insatlled at all, but I do want the option to do so through very intelligent package management through Synaptic or something just as good (apt-get is very good, anyway.) I'd like to be able to download all the updates I want, with the dependencies taken care of for me.

2.) Are there icon themes for Fluxbox, or does it jsut use the ones that KDE is using, or that the app itself uses?

I've tried Damn Small Linux, and although very cool, it's too small (hehe.)

Thanks.

If you want a Fluxbox distro, try Damn Small Linux or Feather Linux. If you want to look for others, try distrowatch.com

You can't use KDE or GNOME apps without their libraries installed, if you want a leaner distro then I suggest you choose one and stick with it, you think KDE looks nice only use Qt-based apps or if you think GNOME looks better then only install Gtk apps. You best bet would be to use a bare-bones distro like Arch or Gentoo and install it all yourself from there, with Gentoo you could take advantage of the USE variable to keep your programs only using one or the other :)
Code:

USE="gtk libgnome -kde -qt"

Thanks for the advice, everyone. :-)

What I'll do is install my PClinuxOS on my second hard drive, and start stripping it down a bit - just aply around with it until I get what I want for a good Fluxbox install.

Then I'll dive into Gentoo. I'll have to see what all the fuss is about ;-)
