Anyone using Mandrake and FreeBSD?
I am using Grub and Mandrake 10.1 CE, FreeBSD 5.3. I had a hard time with the FreeBSD boot loader so I re-installed Mandrake which would not boot after I installed FreeBSD. No big deal. Anyways I tried editing my menu.lst in Mandrake. I decided to use grub through Mandrake for my main boot loader. I need to figure out what lines to put in my menu.lst . When I installed FreeBSD I created a prtition that Mandrake recognizes as /dev/hda3. I auto allocated the "slices" in the FreeBSD partition.
I found this on a Linux Google search. It gives me an example of how to set up FreeBSD in grub.
title FreeBSD
root (hd0,2,a)
kernel /boot/loader
I replaced (hd0,2,a) with (hd0,3,a) I am assuming that "a" is the boot slice within the FreeBSD
partition.
But that doesn't work
Any ideas from Mandrake/FreeBSD users or grub users in general?
Edit: If anyone is using both Mandrake/FreeBSD or grub can you please post your menu.lst or the FreeBSD part?
Thanks
