andLinux v2.1 released.

andLinux http://wiki.gp2x.org/wiki/AndLinux, a complete Linux distribution that runs seamlessly in Windows, has been updated to version 2.1. Changes include CDrom and floppy access, sound, faster networking and much more. Since there is no need to partition, dual boot, configure or dedicate a machine, users will have a complete Linux environment running along with Windows in a matter of minutes.

andLinux is not for everyone, but fits the needs of many who can not escape Windows.

andLinux seems to crash system everytime I try to start it. Just a word of warning.

And just curious if there's a way to resolve the issue.

Since there are about 1000 users of POC v2.1 not experiencing this issue, it would be nice to get a little more information on the crash. Email me your system information (my email is at the bottom of the wiki page, any information about the crash and any installation changes you made. I am sure we can find the cause of the crash on your system.

Work-around found. Actually, it is an old CoLinux issue that affects newer P4 systems. I could really use a copy of your system specs.

This wasn't ever reported as an issue in the earlier versions of andLinux, so I am amazed it is now. You need to modify your boot.ini and change the /NoExecute=<whatever> to /NoExecute=AlwaysOff. This should't affect performance, but you will want to read up on DEP protection first.
