An easily customized (visually) distro

i would like to know what distro would be easiest to change the bootlogo on. in a local pantomime it is being used as a brain-reader so i need to change the bootlogo, and many other visual parts of the distro.

another limitation is that it is on a laptop with no hard disk so it has to be from a live .iso on a memory stick.

so: which distro would be easiest?
and is it possible to use a FREE program to modify the .iso?

thank you

You might find what your looking for here: http://susestudio.com/

This allows you to create a fully customized distro.

There are screencasts on the site to help you understand how it works, and to use it.

Hope this helps.

Cheers
