[Knoppix] How to make a Persistent USB in 6.2

I want to save my display and network settings so I don't have to set them up every time I start from the Knoppix LiveCD. I used to be able to do this in old versions of Knoppix, and a quick google search revealed that I should be able to do it, but the "saveconfig" command doesn't seem to work on the newest version, 6.2.

Does anybody have a suggestion?

Here's a nice easy way: Linux Live USB Knoppix 6.2 is in the list of distro choices.

Thanks for the link, but if I'm not mistaken, you can't actually install it in Linux! I looked around their site and found only Windows executables.

If your using a fat32 usb KNOPPIX should ask you at boot up if you want to make a knoppix.img of ? size
whatever size you make it, make sure you put M or G,etc like 500M
then it will make one for you

did this not happen when you booted up initially off usb?

I was booting off a CD, so perhaps I should try on a USB. I used to be able to make a special floppy disk with my configuration settings on it. Searched around and thought I'd be able to do the same thing with a USB.
I think I'll try just booting from the USB.
