xorg.conf Problem with RefreshRate


hi everybody..
i bought a new LCD and now i dont know how to configure it.
Information from Vendor:
Multiscan Support
(..)
1280x1024@60/75Hz
(..)
Horiz. Sync. 30.0 - 83.0
Vert. Refresh 56.0 - 75.0
Display Size 376x301

my Resolution ist 1280x1024 but the Refresh Rate is only available @ 53Hz..
from my xorg.conf:

Just a check, if you set your resolution lower, does the rate increase? If so, then either your driver or something is fighting back..

yes the rate increases if the resolution is lower. And now i rember what i forgot, i feel a little bit like an idiot...but thank you

okay i am a little bit confused right now..
the Nvidia X-Server Setting Tool says its running with 1280x1024@75Hz but the gnome tool dispalys 51Hz or 118Hz. The Sreen is displayed as CRT in the Nvidia Tool. In which mode does it run now, and why is it known as CRT ?
