Xorg.conf missing

I try to find my Xorg.conf in carmic koala ubuntu. I searched in /etc/X11 but there is nothing. Where can I find this???

Modern X does not use an Xorg.conf by default. However if you make one and put it at /etc/X11/Xorg.conf, X will use it.

An after I do that, do I need to create whole Xorg.conf with all parts or just write only the section about my resolution and monitor. Because as I know from the past, there are all informations in xorg.conf like mose, keyboard and some other stuff. When my ubuntu boot up an read Xorg.conf and find there only the display resolution section, use old settings about other devices? Or I have to write everything in xorg.conf

Actually I believe things like mouse and keyboard are ignored (at least on Debian), so not only do you not need to set them, there is no point in doing so. Please have a look at the files in /usr/share/doc/xserver-xorg/ for information specific to your installation.
