Hmmm... Actually, try booting to run level 3. You'll need to add "3" to the end of the kernel boot line in grub (assuming you are using grub).

Sorry for Delay I didn't see your post, But If I reboot with run level 3 is it going to prevent the Gnome from starting?

Yes. That's the idea behind booting to runlevel 3 :-)

Hi Guys,
Thank you so much Adam for your constant help.
actually what happened is I started killing Xorg processes (just trying to restart them), and when I typed gdm-stop, I noticed that Xorg is runninh this time in vt7 so I went to server room and boom the GUI is back there, so jschiwal was right about his guess, but I have a last question for you guys, if that hapend again is there an option to push Xorg running on vt7, if yes can you share this command syntax please?

here is what was going on:
