xine claims it can't play MP3

Hi,

I just installed Fedora 7 on a HP laptop.

I'm having alot of difficulties with the Audio/Video.

Amongst others, when trying to run Amarok, it says
"Xine claims it can't play MP3"

I've tried with the different setups in amarok, but it just won't work.

In regards to the Video, I'm assuming i just need the right codec. But i've installed all the codecs i could find, and yet it won't play neither avi nor mpeg files.

pleeeeeez help!!

thanks

//Santiago

Go to livna and download and install the livna-release rpm for Fedora 7. After that do
Code:
#yum install xine-lib-extras-nonfree
