Xfce has a screen size greater than the X screen

Here is a link to my xorg.conf. As you can see, the resolution is 1280x720, but I have adjusted this to 1220x690 to compensate for overscan, so that my TV will display the whole picture.

(I have commented out the Virtual line, because for some reason it causes the 1280x720 resolution to not work).
Now, when I fire up Xfce, I get a (probably) 1280x720 desktop that scrolls around when I move the mouse to the edge of the screen. I am finding this extremely annoying. Can anyone give me a hint on how to sort this out please?

Excellent. I found the solution here. It turns out Xfce has a little bug that means it sometimes doesn't choose the right resolution to fit on the screen.
