Xfce desktop has become a Task List. How to restore?

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
Hello

My Xfce desktop has become a Task List. How can I make show the contents of ~/Desktop again? None of the changes made to the system around that time seem relevant and netsearching has not found an answer.

Xfce 4.6.1 on Slackware 13.0 32-bit.

Best

Charles

Solved! The behaviour was caused by Settings->Desktop->Icons->"Icon Type" being set to "Minimised application icons" rather than "File/launcher icons"
