X locks up when drop and drag

Running mint. Using Firefox, I open bookmarks tab then try to organize in alphabetical order. Drop and drag items causes lock-up forcing hard shut down. Anyone else having similar problems? Any fixes?
Amani, Mint 5 Elyssa, 32 bit. No add-ons, no plugins, just what was offered through download about three months ago.
This problem does not really bother me. I will work around it. I was just pointing out that there may be a problem with the browser bookmarking system as this did happen to me in Mandriva on another computer. Sometimes, it will let you sort out a few lines before locking up other times it takes just one line.
