Question Window's Games on Linux


Hey I am sorry to say that i an windows user i looking to switch to linux, but i was wondering if i can play windows games on linux like starcraft and stuff. If i can what do i need to do, can somebody help me.

Here's the generic howto. YOu need to install a program called Wine. Note that you might or might not have luck with every program you try to install.

Here's a starcraft specific howto.

I recommend wine, it's worked really well for me - every Windows game I wanted to run has run fine under Linux if not better.

Cedega also does the trick

I've used Cedega to play a few games (hitman 3 being the last). It's based on Wine, and works fairly well. But you have to pay for it, or build it from cvs (and that's a PITA).
