Since I know that Xfce is based on GTK, what will its community do when GTK+ 3.0 comes out? Will Xfce adopt it or will its developers choose a different toolkit?
It will include such features as client-side decorations (e.g. RGBA), OpenGL integration, an extended layout, multitouch support and a new theme system, among other things, integrated into its core. See GTK+/Roadmap on live.gnome.org for more details.
