Question Why doesnt my computer want to boot on linux dsl

I have an Hp pavilion 752n and it wont run on dsl. The computer has a pentium 4 and and a western digital hard drive, I het to the point where it is please take out the cd rom drive then reboot or something. I do that then nothing comes up. I cahnged the bios setup and evferything. Sorry if this is confusing i am redoing the installation and looking at my other screen. please help

ok it says please wait for disc tray to eject then press enter now what do i do

is it "Damn Small Linux" you are installing and if so where did you install the bootloader and what is the partition layout .
