Here's one place:
http://gitweb.opencompositing.org/?o=project
Choose an item, click on "summary", choose again and click on "snapshot".

Hello.
When I download and make:
Code:
make: *** No rule to make target `build/shift.lo', needed by `c-build-objs'. Stop.

I don't know enough about exactly what you've done to guess at what the problem might be. As you may or may not know, for each module, you have to run the autogen.sh script, then the configure script that is generated, before doing make and make install. Also, some of the program modules are libraries that others depend on.
Edit: Here
http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showpo...03&postcount=1
is information about a yum repository of pre-compiled fusion parts that you might find useful, if you happen to be a yum-using Fedora person. (But I haven't used the repository myself.)

There's packages for all the major distro's, you can look at the official C-F forum and find them
ps - it helps if you mention what you're running on what

Hello.
I downloaded the unsupported package, and installed. I see the new plugins in the compiz manager, but when I try and use them, compiz crashes and I have to use metacity.
I'm using Feisty on a Dell XPS 400. ATI X600 Graphics card. Beryl and compiz and fusion all run smoothly.
I would also like to add that sometimes Ubuntu completely freezes. The keyboard, mouse, and Control+Alt+Backspace don't work, and the screen doesn't move.

That's a crash (which doesn't necessarily make a loud noise). I experimented for over a week trying to get Compiz, then Beryl, then Compiz-Fusion to work on my system. Crash, crash, crash.

Man (lady?), the Ubuntu forums really are the best, you should either be posting there or on forum.compiz-fusion.org - you have distro/app specific problems and you should search distro/app specific forums. I'd expect your xorg config needs cusomizing but you got what I don't.
