What's up with aMule?

Hey all

I've been wondering for the last few months whether the aMule project's been dead or not. They haven't released a new version for more than a year (perhaps 2).

There's some activity on their forums and I asked there, but it looks like my post was deleted.

Anybody know what's happened to the project in the last year or two?

There is not a stable release since 2.1.3, but aMule is actively developed and you can find a SVN snapshot packaged for your distribution as stated here. Note that these are unstable versions. Usual packagers build snapshots and make them available to the public. For example you will find a recent package in the Packman repository for OpenSUsE or in the Unstable repository for Debian, and so on.
