(Warn. Rant-ish) Why is Fedora 15 so weird!
I don't understand Fedora. I feel like I'm running Slackware/Ubuntu/and Arch. I try to install things and its like Ubuntu and arch where its mostly command line. Things are constantly conflicting like when I used Slackware and then that damn SElinux has been stepping on my toes all the time. Then I try to use GNOME 3 and I can't pin things. Google-Chrome and other apps can't find their settings for some reason as well. I'm very confused.
Please is there a way that I can like look up information about fedora to understand it? I feel like it could be an awesome OS to work with if I could just understand why its so damn weird. Google searches about fedora have not turned up much for me and their wiki doesn't seem to have the information I need. Instead its mostly full of information for those who use/maintain fedora. |

Enjoy the rant, it's okay as far as I'm concerned... Thor |

http://forums.fedoraforum.org/ It's been full of help on how to do all those things that Gnome 3 hasn't got round to implementing yet. But it is a very experimental distro these days. They were going to make btrfs the default instead of ext4 in the next version, but luckily they noticed that fsck doesn't support it yet! |
