VNC to Windows?

I'm trying to be able to connect to my Kubuntu machine from XP. First, is this possible? Second, what program would you use to do it? I'm trying TightVNC right now, with no luck.

First of all it is possible. I am using Suse 10.1 which had vncserver installed. After spending several sleepless nights getting cgywin to work i tried RealVNC viewer on my XP to connect and it took me all of 10 mins !

So, I could use RealVNC viewer to connect to a TightVNC server?

VNC is a platform independent protocol

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vnc

never tried this combination but it should work.

It's proving itself to be much harder than it was to get things like Apache up and running. Eventhough the process is running, I can't get a connection. I do have Firestarter as my firewall, but I've tried it with it on and with it off with no luck.
