You are using an old release of RHEL - this means that many files will no longer be available for it. You have a choice of reverting to compiling source code or updating your installation. However, I see that pbone lists the libs you need already. eg. libcdio
http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat...86_64.rpm.html

Updating is strongly urged since there have been many critical security updates since your edition was released.

To update RHEL you are encouraged to purchase a support contract from Redhat. If you prefer to use free/community support, then you should consider a free/community supported distribution. eg. CentOS is a community supported RHEL clone.

Some more general tips: please edit your profile to show location and distro - this helps us respond more in tune to what you need.

When writing English, it is helpful to put each subject in a separate paragraph - separating paragraphs with a blank line. Periods (full stops) are always followed by at least one space, if the space is absent, then the dot actually connects the words on either side of it. The personal pronoun (I) is always upper case. A little care here makes your post easier to read, and understand. This is especially important in an international forum where the reader who has the answer you need does not have English as their first language.

Cheers.
