Update package when i use other system

Hi, i am using sabayon, beside fedora, ubuntu and blankon.
I want to update my sabayon package, but otherwise i have to finish my project in fedora. Can i use my fedora, and update my sabayon package at the same time?
I've tried to use in fedora:
$ mount /dev/sda9 /mnt
$ mount --bind /proc /mnt/proc
$ mount --bind /sys /mnt/sys
$ mount --bind /dev /mnt/dev
$ chroot /mnt

but its can't do it.
i'm very glad if anyone could help me....
thanx

Would be helpful to know what exactly does not work, including the exact error-messages.

Before chrooting into the Sabayon system copy the file /etc/resolv.conf to /mnt/etc/, that should solve the problem.
