Is this a question or a suggestion? Anyway, I'm an ATI owner and ATI pretty much blows in Linux. It was easy to get the drivers installed with OpenSUSE, but the performance was horrible. Half of the stuff does not work. Wine and Cedega has plenty of trouble with it as well. I tried to replace my ATI with an old Nvidia and everything worked fine. It is a shame really.
I wonder if ATI is at least trying to make the drivers for Linux better of if they are actually trying to market it as "Linux compatible" and make a quick buck. I have a totally different opinion about ATI on Windows though. In fact, I prefer ATI over nvidia in Windows for a lot of reasons. But in Linux, they are nearly worthless... Even anti-aliasing looks better with nvidia.
