it should just auto mount after you pop it in the drive

look on the left pane of Nautilus under "places"

cent will auto mount it to /media/**** something *****

So you do not have Gnome installed and are likely missing the related programs to auto mount a dvd on insert

this is a "software " dvd
if it was made using CentOS 6 then it is likely ext3 format
Code:
su -
mkdir /mnt/SoftwareDVD
mount -t ext3 /dev/sr0 /mnt/SoftwareDVD
cd /mnt/SoftwareDVD
ls -l
if it was made on a windows machine it might be ntfs
in that case you will need to make sure that ntfs-3g is installed
