Ubuntu Lucid - howto change/configure Nautilus right click context menu apps

If it was a text, movie, music, etc. file, then you could go into its properties and change the associated app in the open with tab, but that doesn't exist in a folder's properties.

so when i right click a folder in Nautilus, there's a list of "Open With..." apps. How can I change or remove these apps?

No editor for context menu

Apparently you can change these settings by editing ~/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list for your user.

On experimenting, I managed to change the context menu somewhat. You will probably need to restart Nautilus to see the effect.
