Ubuntu 10.10 printer setup box won't open

Hi

I'm fairly new to Linux, so please be gentle with me.

Running Ubuntu 1o.10 64bit, the printer setup box (to add/remove/change drivers etc) won't open, it just hangs forever.

I had the problem with 10.04, and ran apt-get update, and then upgraded to 10.10 hoping this would solve my problem, without success.

Any ideas?

Many thanks

Have you got cups installed? Go into synaptic and verify it is installed. I don't think it is there by default.
