Trouble with display resolution when installing ATI Firepro 2460

Hi,

I'm currently trying to install a new graphic board, ATI FirePro 2460 on a desktop computer. I'm using Red Hat. After some minor trouble, I manage to install the board and now it works partly. I'm only getting a resolution of 640 x 480. I've tried to use the aticonfigure but it didn't work. I have also tried the ATI graphical tool, but since the total resolution is only 640 x 480, most of the ATI window is unreachable.

(The max display size is 640x480, while all the utility windows is large and therefore only parts of the utility windows is inside the max display area).

Any suggestions?

Regards,
Claus

It sounds liek for whatever reason it's stuck using the VESA VGA driver. Since you're using RedHat call their support people, after all it's what you're paying for.

The trick is to use ATI's tool, select the actual resolution and perform several "tab" and "enter" until the window changes and you are able to press the "OK" button - black magic...
