trouble installing ndiswrapper in rhel 4 <newbie>

As the title suggests, I am having some trouble getting ndiswrapper figured out. I am running rhel 4 on a dell 5150 laptop and using a dell wireless 1350 wlan mini pci card, the driver for which I downloaded from sourceforge.net. I completed the "unzip", "make", and "install" steps with little difficulty as outlined at the sourceforge wiki in the installation section. My problem comes when I get to the "Now use the 'ndiswrapper' tool to install the driver" step. When I type it in I get "ndiswrapper: command not found". I am in the directory 'utils' that I have all the unzipped driver files, as well as where there are a group of ndiswrapper files, including the makefile and, what I believe to be an executable file named ndiswrapper, along with a few others. Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong? should I be in a different directory? I'm not sure and my brain is starting to get fried.

Any help greatly appreciated, Rob

Dude - me too! I'm a bit disappointed that after ten years of development Linux of any flavor doesn't come with Wi-Fi drivers. Kind of stupid if you ask me.

Now, I am not a coder - never was a hard-core geek - I can talk to women without peeing myself - but this shit is ridiculous!

Make, install, run - near damned impossible to get a stupid wi fi card working!
