Thunderbird 3 migrating from linux to windows
 
I have my laptop that is down right now and need to transfer my data to a temporary machine which has windows installed on it. I really need to use Thunderbird 3 on the windows machine to be able to read my e-mails and was wondering how one can transfer his e-mail from linux to windows. Remember this is the new thunderbird 3. help?

I anwsered my own questions and this is for all who want to know:

move or copy

/home/username/.thunderbird

or

/home/username/.mozilla-thunderbird

to

C:\DocumentsandSettings\username\ApplicationData\Thunderbird\profiles\[alphanumeric].default 
then copy or modify your profile.ini and make sure the path to the correct profile is stated and bam things should work.
