Question Terminal Window in xfce-Session 'swallows' "t"-key input

System is OpenSuSE 13.2-Distro of GNU/Linux kernel 3.4
Installed on AMD-x64-based laptop (HP pavilion 17)

Desktop xfce.

Opening an xfce-terminal. Echoing the input omits display of typed "t" throughout (and other keys act as if in deadkeymode, appear only instead of next key typed).

E.g. typing "mount<LF>" results in "moun <LF>" and a system info about unknown command. The system replies show "t" letter...

X-term instead of xfce-Terminal works fine.

Are there keymaps to repair? Settings? Other ideas?

Thanks in advance.

somewhere under ~/.config/

Look under/below ~/.config/ for "terminal" and dig.

If say ~/.config/gnome-terminal/ is found.
close your terminal and Nuke it for default settings for gnome-terminal

Say using a File Manager
Alt+F2 (run) >
Code:
thunar ~/.config/gnome-terminal/
restart terminal-emulator.

are you sure this happens only in the xfce4-terminal? tried other terminals, other applications altogether?

Thumbs up @Habitual

Thank you very much. This was the clue.
Code:
cd ~/.config/xfce/terminal/accels.scm
Partial Content of this file as
Quote:
...
; (gtk_accel_path "<Actions>/terminal-window/show-toolbar" "")
(gtk_accel_path "<Actions>/terminal-window/paste" "t")
; (gtk_accel_path "<Actions>/terminal-window/copy" "<Primary><Shift>c")
...
Inserting "; " at the left of the middle line
Done. Works.
No idea (but great theories) how the semicolon disappeared.
