Terminal in ubuntu 12.04

I have installed ubuntu 12.04 LTS and I want to know how to go to terminal for executing the command

Try pressing "alt-f2" and type "gnome-terminal" there. And then press "enter". If this doesn't work, just type "xterm" instead of "gnome-terminal".
