templates of documents

Hi,

When I right-click on my Desktop and choose 'Create Document', a sub-menu appears with two, or actually one option: Empty file

The other options is inactive and says: no templates installed

How can I create a template e.g for emacs (a blank document and .py document)? Or for Kate?

thanks

All you have to do is create the document you want to be copied and name it <MenuEntry>.xxx, then put it in /home/youruser/Templates. If you don't want to see this folder in the file browser, add "Templates" to .hidden in your home folder. It's possible that Templates and .hidden don't exist; in that case just create them.
