Question task bar settings in linux mint8 it doesnt shows running instances list after minimiz

hi everyone,
In my linux mint 8 i cannot see the list of running instances on task bar. Hence after minimizing window i should use ATL+TAB key to see the list and redirect to required window.
Please, give the settings for that?

Right click the taskbar.

List out the items here !

Secondly right click on the taskbar where there is blank space i.e. no icons .

Do not click on the icons, right click on the taskbar space where there are no icons, tell the results.

Linux Mint uses Gnome by default:

1. Right click the empty space on the taskbar.
2. Select "Add to Panel...".
3. Select "Window List".
4. Click "Add" button.
