System just started to HANG!

Couple of days ago I noticed FireFox starting to hang, meaning I lost complete mouse control and keyboard. I couldn't even Kill the program. Had to do a hard reboot. Don't remember doing any updates that would cause this. Now I can hardly work in any KDE program without it completely freezing within a couple of minutes.

Any ideas where to start figuring out whats going on?

A couple of thoughts...

When it happens again, hold Ctrl and Alt, then tap
the Backspace key. If that stops x, you'll have a
less drastic way to recover.

Does this happen every time you open the browser?
If so, change to a different homepage. You might
find it only happens on pages that include java-
script or embedded flash videos or something like
