since kmail with its non working search in mails, akonadi and so on bother me much, i decide to switch to another email client.
found a sylpheed not bad for first look, but looks like there cannot be mail import from ?mailfolders? ( kmail) format?
i be a lot of old mails in my kmail, and it is importnt to can get import it in my new mail client.
I've used claws for years (got sick of issues with Evolution). Can't answer your question directly, but the community is pretty good - you should be able to use something like kmail-mailbox2claws-mail.pl I would think.
