Swapped Motherboard and Lost Internet Access in Kubuntu 10.4
My original mobo (Asus M4N98TD EVO) was having some memory problems. I installed a new mobo of the same model which fixed my memory problems, but I've lost internet connectivity in Kubuntu 10.4 for some reason. My router is up and running and Kubuntu supposedly "sees" the wired network, but no joy. I also boot to Windoze 7 (hardware switch on two different HDDs, no grub) and Win7 "sees" and connects to the wired network connection without a problem. I use wicd on Kubuntu 10.4.
- I've checked my LAN connection between the router and computer.
- I've opened wicd and forced it to connect... no joy! Reconnecting... reconnecting..etc.
Conclusions:
- Mobo ethernet must be good since Windoze can use it.
- Reinstall wicd ??? There's an idea.
Please advise.
