Strange: Audio-CD can't be played with PC
Hi,
I bought an audio CD and I can play it with my CD player. But when I put it in my CD-ROM of my PC it cannot be played. There is only a 'player.exe' when I open the CD-ROM with 'konqueror' or the like. I learned that this is a new trick of the music industry to keep me away from copying the CD. Does anybody know a piece of Linux software which can help in listening the CD on my PC? Thanx Stefan Padberg, Germany |
Have you tried playing it with kscd?

Thankyou, it works. Great!
It works also with xmms! But: I had to choose the '/dev/cdrom'. It does not work when I choose '/media/cdrom/' or '/mnt/cdrom'. The other players (JuK, Kaboodle, noatun) didnot work at all. Greetings Stefan |
