Strange: Audio-CD can't be played with PC

Hi,

I bought an audio CD and I can play it with my CD player. But when I put it in my CD-ROM of my PC it cannot be played. There is only a 'player.exe' when I open the CD-ROM with 'konqueror' or the like.

I learned that this is a new trick of the music industry to keep me away from copying the CD. Does anybody know a piece of Linux software which can help in listening the CD on my PC?

Thanx

Have you tried playing it with kscd?

Thankyou, it works. Great!

It works also with xmms!

But: I had to choose the '/dev/cdrom'. It does not work when I choose '/media/cdrom/' or '/mnt/cdrom'.

The other players (JuK, Kaboodle, noatun) didnot work at all.

Greetings
Stefan
