The previous version of SketchUp had .Net framework crap that I couldn't get around with wine.

Version 8 installs and works very well.

However, I am unable to type into the program after using it for a while. Example: manual measurements, tool short-cut keys, ect. I just save and restart SketchUp, not a real problem. Trying to pay attention to when it happens...

I'm curious if anyone has any tips/fixes/experience with SketchUp8+wine.

Some apps work with wine tricks installed but you have to watch out for it breaking updates.

Seem to be gold on Fedora 16 from the link.

I found under sketchup that it should install well using Winetricks to do the install. Made the mistake of installing first without winetricks, believe I deleted everything and then installed with Winetricks. The start up comes onto the screen and then I obtain the error message: Sketchup unable to initialize OpenGl! Error: ChoosePixelFormat failed. Question - should the link setup for Google Sketchup enable operations under Wine? Should I try to start a Wine window first and then start Sketchup from there? I almost suspect that this is a Wine setup issue not a Sketchup issue, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Update. Tried a few other things. Here is the error I am getting.
