Simple DVD Task that I can't do in Linux
Hi all,
I'm sure this can be done, but I've been struggling for days trying to the do the following.
I'm using Kubuntu 6.10 RC1. I want to be able to insert a DVD, find a section or scene that begins at point "A" and ends at point "B" I want to select this section and copy it out for import into a presentation. And extra bonus would be able to append or mend several clips together in one video stream/file that I could then import into PowerPoint. This is easily done with Pinnacle Studio on my WInXP machine, but I want to do this on my linux laptop.
The DVD file is in VOB format. It will play in Xine, Kaffine, and MPlayer. On my system I've installed:
Kino, K9dvdcopy, avidemux, dvd::rip,
I'm not a noob, but this task has frustrated.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm working under a deadline.
