I use a Compaq Evo (Intel 745G/GL graphics) and need to install a driver. Any effort - how ever minute - requires massive CPU effort. If I fire up Blender (light weight - I assume) the CPU pounds out the full thrust as if it wants to go ballistic. Clearly a driver issue.
How do I install a driver? I did the install using VESA as param, so I assume the installer didn't even bother to install the driver as I had with F8. Where on the DVD can I find it? I did download something from Intel's site, but I'm not sure what it will do.
Should't I save the Gnome config first, If so, where do i find this config?
